Account Troubleshooting - Creating Multi-Site Accounts

Modified on Mon, 15 Jul, 2024 at 6:26 PM

The easiest way to create a child/parent account connection in Salesforce is to use existing accounts, and follow the directions below:

Open the account you would like to be the Parent account, and open the account that will be the Child account.

From the account you are choosing to be the Child account, click on the down arrow and Select "Edit"

From the account details, choose a Parent Account by either searching for the account within Salesforce, or selecting from the recent accounts list:

Choose Save, and refresh the web page. You can check your work by selecting the icon next to the account name:

You will then see any accounts that are Child accounts on the page:

After adding the Child accounts to the selected Parent account, be sure that the Person account(s) listed under the Parent account have the correct Relationship and Roles in order to see Multi-Site (example: Virtual Manager)
